Course History of EDUC 515

This is my course history of Evolving Technologies, EDUC 515 at Azusa Pacific University. My instructor is Jeff McKendricks. In this course, I have created 3 podcasts, one of which I turned into a vodcast, 4 websites in which to display information to my future classroom, and also a PowerPoint presentation tracing the evolution of electronic storage devices.

In this class I have learned to do a large number of things. Aside from social networking sites such as myspace and facebook, I have never worked on creating or customizing a website. I was surprised to see how many websites were so user friendly and others that weren't. I personally prefer using blogger.com because it is very easy to upload various videos and links. However I feel that family lobby was easy when it came to uploading audio files. On top of learning how to create websites, I also learned how to use GarageBand and iMovie. These programs are so useful when it comes to learning how to create podcasts and vodcasts. These programs are really so user friendly once you familiarize yourself with what they can do. This class has been so helpful in many ways. I don't believe I would have ever tried to put these programs to use. But now I am confident in using these programs. I will be able to continue using these technologies throughout my teaching career as I evolve as an instructor.

Aha moments are something that were not hard to come by. I had several of them in each class meeting. One of my favorite aha moments was learning how easy it was to create a podcast. As I created one, I began to feel very excited as I added music to my own voice. I loved even more how easily I was able to create a vodcast from one of my podcasts. As I played certain music with my photos I felt so elated. And to see my creation come to life in a full video is amazing.
